Acupuncture is a modern treatment modality with roots in ancient China.
It involves the stimulation of specific points on the body with extremely fine, sterile needles. It is useful for literally dozens of conditions from high blood pressure to pain to infertility.
Treatment is generally comfortable, well-tolerated and quite relaxing for the patient to receive.
We provide both community and private acupuncture. Sessions are tailored to patients based on individual need.
TUI NA BODYWORK
price $90 - 60 minutes
Tui Na is the term used to describe the myriad of manual therapies used within the scope of Chinese Medicine.
Our particular lineage of Tui Na features the use of techniques which utilize rhythmic massage, stretching, passive movement and traction of the body. While it can be used on its own, it is not uncommon for additional modalities such as application of heat, cold, cupping, moxibustion and external herbal compresses to be used in conjunction.

Herbal Medicine is generally considered to be the therapeutic use of plants and plant materials, although minerals are also commonly used.
We generally employ two methods here at Idyllwild Community Acupuncture.
1) Chinese herbal medicine, which typically utilizes numerous herbs in small doses mixed together in a “formula”
-and-
2) Western herbal medicine, which usually uses a higher dose of a single plant or plant extract. Most herbal medicines can be taken as a pill, liquid tincture or as tea.
We provide herbal consultations that are based on current available formulas, as well as individualized formulas to suit the needs of our patients.

FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE

Functional Medicine is a systems biology–based approach that focuses on identifying and addressing the root cause of disease. Each symptom or differential diagnosis may be one of many contributing to an individual's illness (source: ifm.org).
We tailor treatment and diagnosis based on your individual need.
FELDENKRAIS
sessions: $90/45-60 minutes

The Feldenkrais Method is based on the work of Moshe Feldenkrais. We offer individual as well as group sessions.

CRANIOSACRAL

Craniosacral is a gentle, hands-on technique that uses light touch to release restrictions in the soft tissues around the central nervous system.
pilates
Individual: $60
Duet: $70 ($35 per person)
50 minute session
We specialize in the use of Pilates for individualized treatment of post-rehab exercise or for those who did not respond well to traditional rehab methods.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY
Sesssions: $95/45-60 minutes
Our holistic and integrative approach to pelvic wellness addresses the mind, body and spirit/energy. Hand therapy occupational therapy to treat individuals with injuries and conditions affecting the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand and fingers.
